A) Bangkok (ENG)

06/02/2018 – 09/02/2018

After the 45 days we spent in India, we took a plane from Kochi to Bangkok to get to Thailand.

Thailand, here we go ! Again, we are shocked, but in a good way. Asian atmosphere, massages, street food and beer at every corner. Everything is there for us to enjoy :p Scammers are no longer a concern, people seem to be friendly and smile a lot. It is very easy to find help and directions in the streets.  It really feels like holidays. If only we were on a beach… 😀

Here is the plan:

  • Exchange some stuff at Decathlon (:D)
  • Expected and unexpected homecomings
  • Temple of the three white elephants
  • Wat Pho (Temple of the reclining Bouddha)
  • Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn)
  • Wat Phra Kaeo (Temple of Emerald Bouddha)
  • Nana Soi district

Here is a really interesting piece of intel for every persons travelling as we do. Did you know that you can exchange any worn out product from Decathlon in any of their shop around the world ?

We tried in China a few months ago and we succeeded again here in Thailand.

You can quite easily get a replacement for anything without even having neither the receipt, nor Decathlon membership card, nor the label !

Hoping it will be of use … 😀

Expected and unexpected homecomings 😀

We planned to meet Queenie’s dad in Thailand several months before. We spent 15 days travelling together around in Thailand.

We were not expected at all meeting with Nicolas, an old friend of us ! We unfortunately did not have a lot lot of time to spend with him since we already booked our trip to Pattaya, but it was really nice to see familiar faces ! After all, it has already been almost 5 months since the last time we saw each other in Belgium 😉

Our expected homecoming with Queenie’s dad 😀
Our unexpected (and unfortunately brief) homecoming with Nico 😀

Bangkok is clean and not that much polluted, as we might expect from a capital city
